[RWP] Adrenalinn guitar pedal's sounds

I put a GraphTech nut on my MiniStrat when the corner broke off its
original nut, and I have another that I'm going to put on the Chinese
JunkCaster.
GraphTech sure does a great job of design on their nuts, you just file
off a tiny protrusion at the bottom of that particular design and it
fits perfectly, with all the slots exactly where you would want them, if
you had the nut hand slotted by a great luthier.
That wasn't just my experience, the user reviews on Amazon were full of
similar reviews.
A real bargain for $14 or so.
I'm not so convinced about plastic saddles, though I do sometimes like a
dark sound.
I wonder if a plastic saddle would give you a dark sound you couldn't
brighten up with a tone control.
I have plenty of teflon lubes around here, and have invented secret
mixtures that keep the teflon just at the friction points and not
slopped all over the place.
I carefully looked at the stock pot metal saddles on the Squire HH, when
it arrived; and took a piece of 4000 grit wet or dry paper and removed
the nasty little burrs that the factory left on them.
With a tiny film of Indi's teflonized lube, I would bet that no string
will ever break there.
I think I'll try a $13 set of cast stainless steel saddles, with a set
of the hardened Allan screws on the MiniStrat, to learn how they sound.
You know if anything is going to affect tone, along with the nut; it
must be the saddles, which are the closest piece of hardware to the
vibrating string.
