Think of it this way:
When you go to sell The Classic Vibes Limited Edition model thirty
years from now, it'll be worth more than the plain Jane model, so you'll
likely recoup your added investment; and more.
When I got the Squire HH, for $99.95, I was glad it's black as the Ace
of Spades, because I got another Fender in tourino Red, and, even though
I can't see it, I imagine darker more sinisgter vibes from the black
paint job.
You can buy gold tuners, but you will always pay extra for all hardware.
The black HH has standard chrome plated pot metal saddles and chromed
steel bridge plate.
One can get black chrome parts, which cost extra; like gold finished parts.
They aren't painted black, it's an anodizing process that turns the
metal black.
I like pimping up instruments, even if I can't see the results, except
with my mind.
I looked up what it would cost to get a big green and gold dragon de cal
to put on the back of the Squire HH, and was surprised to learn that you
can still get real de cals, not peel-and-stick stickers; but they cost
about $70 for a big de cal.
I'd need to have a custom one made, costing several times that.
For some reason, nobody else seems to be into green and gold
fire-breathing dragons, like me. smile.
