It is very simple, but whether you can do the double click move on the
mac's screenreader I don't know.
Here are the steps to chain any number of actions together.
First, let us all get the term right, it's actions, not functions, okay?
1. to chain actions open the actions list with F4.
2. Click enter on New.
3. You're in the edit field to name your new custom action, so type in a
name.
4. Tab down to the word List, which is the main actions list.
Before you clicked on New; you could have narrowed which actions are
displayed in this List by typing in search terms, or selecting one of
the sublists; but for this step-by-step, it doesn't matter.
5. Arrow to one of the actions; doesn't matter which one for this exercise.
6. However you need to do it for your particular screenreader, route the
focus over to your numberPad and do whatever it takes to double-click;
at your number pad; on the action you selected in the previous step.
With NVDA I use the NVDA key plus the numberPad enter key to achieve the
double-click
7. go back to the arrow keys and arrow to another action.
8. repeat your screenreader moves which route focus to your number pad
and do a double-click on the second action at your numPad.
9. Now, if you tab down 1 space, you'll find that List 2; which
previously said Drag actions here; now contains the 2 actions you just
selected by double-clicking on them at your number pad.
10. You can continue to chain as many actions as you like.
While still in the custom actions dialog; you can also place checkmarks
on a couple of options, like display the custom action in the Reaper
standard actions list.
When you've finished your chaining and checkmarking options, tab down to
OK and press enter.
11. To provide a single shortcut or control surface control to trigger
the entire chain of actions, tab to Add; and press enter.
You'll be prompted to either type in a qwerty shortcut, or to wiggle a
control on your control surface.
12. After providing a shortcut, tab to where you can run the custom
action you just created, or to click enter on Close, to exit from the
actions dialog and return to track view.
