[RWP] Chaining Actions

I know I did this years ago, but I was in 32 bits XP and running
Window-Eyes.
I just tried it a little bit with NVDA in Windows 7 64 bit, and didn't
get it, but I'll keep on trying.
Here's a snip on chaining actions from Reaper Unleashed, a great
tutorial with lots of useful tips, where his sighted approaches often
apply to our needs.
Snip:
5.3.1Chaining Actions
In this example, we'll be creating a custom action so that you can use
the Shift key in conjunction with the mouse wheel to zoom horizontally
and vertically at the same time. The custom action itself simply chains
two actions together.
Tutorial: Creating a Custom Action
1.Choose the Actions, Show actions listcommand.
2.Click on the New button.
3.Type a name, such as Zoom V and H
4.Find and add (by double-clicking) the two actions View: Zoom
horizontally and View: Zoom vertically.
5.Click on OK.
6.Click on Add... to display the Keyboard MIDI Input window.
7.Hold Shiftand scroll the mousewheel just a touch. This will assign the
action to the mousewheel and close the dialog box.
8.Click on Close.
You will find that you can now hold Shift while scrolling the mousewheel
up or down to zoom in or out horizontally and vertically at the same time.
Unsnip.
Don't be concerned what the actions he chose were, the technique works
on all actions.
When I just tried it, I clicked on New, Named my custom action, tabbed
to the list; hit enter on a selected action and got the error message
that no action has been chosen.
Reaper is correct, because there's nothing in the next box you get by
tabbing down 1 space; which is called List 2.
List 2 has the message Drag selected action here.
I know that drag/drop is not required, because I did it, now I need to
rediscover how.
I'll go back and try the method from the snip above, which' if you
notice; says to double click on 2 actions from the list to chain them
together, then click on OK, ; no mention at all of drag/drop
I'll try double clicking at NVDA's numberPad on two of the actions in
the main list.
When you get the method right, any number of actions just appear in List
2 without Drag/drop.
