Other than the console (which is awesome), what is in SWS that is of
interest to blinks?

Hey JP,
The Standing Water Studios or SWS Extensions are a huge bunch of
custom actions and extra neat little utilities all packaged up into
one installer. You'll find the extension residing on most Reaper power
users systems, but I'd say that's mainly due to the daunting level of
stuff it brings to the table rather than its learning curve being
tough. So far as I know, all SWS features were suggested and developed
by Reaper.fm forum contributors, so everything in there was actually
useful to someone at some point lol.
Definitely worth checking out once you've gotten comfortable. I should
imagine that the ReaConsole utility that SWS installs would be a
lifesaver on the Mac.
