Hi & Greetings from Down Under...
I would have to agree with Steve...
Before you go telling people they are myopic about there figures here some
calculations to think about...
I am currently in the process of putting together an AHK script for
Omnisphere as Steve alluded to in a previous email...
So far I have spent about 60 hours on this project taking into consideration
that here in Australia Computer Techs and Software Programmers get anywhere
from $88 per hour upwards
88 multiplied by 60 equals 5280 thats dollars...
Sighted assistance another 4 hours...
4 multiplied by 50 equals 200 thats dollars
This is just to get Access to the Patch Browser in which there are over 8100
patches.
Then there is a MultiBrowser and a SoundSourceBrowser all of which Do Not
Talk when focused with a ScreenReader... well at least not with
SystemAccess.
If you have seen the videos that come with Omnisphere you will just realise
what a mammoth task this truly is...
I estimate, and this is rather a conservative estimation that it will take
around 200 hours or so to put this together...
Do the Math!!
That is also 200 hours away from doing Studio business.
So when you just say and I quote:
"I think you're being fairly myopic about your numbers. Let's leave it at
that."
End quote...
This is a rather glib and throw away thing to say, and comes from absolutely
no idea of what time it takes to put these scripts together...
If you think it is easy, and will not take much time... go ahead learn AHK
put the script together and put it out there for FREE ..., or even charge
for it! If you make the script too expensive people may buy it, but most
likely not... so make it affordable and you will not get your investment
back...
If it is a FREE Script, We will all LOVE you and there will be lots of good
will and cheer...
But I will not tolerate CRAP statements of this nature, it really makes me
very irate...

I think you're being fairly myopic about your numbers. Let's leave it at
that.
