[RWP] hello I am a new member.

But wineyes is broken on 64 bit. SO there's no one size fits all approach for any of this stuff.

  Yeh, I see that too.

I don't do as complex routing as you do Patric, but I have seen where the sanctioned ways of doing things with reaccess and the way they work in 3.78 are better.

This is kind of bad though because all the third party vst plugs with the dedicated process and separate window for vst's work better with the 4 series.
  Also midi editing.

So we're kind of screwed, having to choosse between those much needed functionallities.

Also to be fair, some of what your missing is screen-reader specific,
you use nvda exclusively now I think and maybe jaws once in a while, with window-eyes I can get menus and such I can't get with nvda.
or see certain controls, like in that master section for out-puts.

I'm still using Reaper 3.78, and don't use the method described here to
set up sends and returns, unless I want to add a lot of sends or
receives very quickly, though usually if I want that, I'll use folders.
This dialogue makes it a little too easy to add sends you don't
necessarily want. Once you have highlighted a track, it assumes after a
second that you want to send to that track, which may or may not be the
case. I have projects with a huge amount of custom routing, with channel
pairs from some tracks going to different channel pairs of other tracks
for side-chaining and other such processes, so that could break pretty
fast, but as I understand it, if you're using Reaper 4.x, that's the
most reliable way to do things, since you can't get to all of the
context menus anymore. Yes, I' aware of the control+up arrow
work-around, but that only works on the surface. You can't drill down to
some of the other context-specific stuff as with 3.x and ReaAccess.
