[RWP] Does Anyone Know How To Get NVDA to Skip Edit Boxes?

Okay, I'll look for automatic focus mode, and try hitting escape, though
I think I already unconciously do.
I often hit the tab key to escape from boxes that trat NVDA, but I
should try escape first.
The main problem lies in holding the down arrow to zip quickly down
through lines in a webPage.
For me, it's a little like speed Reading; or scanning, because, with
eloquence set at a fairly fast rate, I hear a little of each line
spoken, so get an idea of what the page is about, and find the desired
area quickly.
But, when the focus suddenly hits a combo box or search box that has
selections, the down arrow makes a selection before I can let go of it,
and then I'm into an entirely different topic when I get untrapped from
the box.
I'm not sure if there is a cure for back being disabled in faceBook and
twitter pages.
If I look at the taskBar with NVDA's object navigation, it confirms that
back as disabled.
Previous to FaceBook and Twitter pages, sometimes back would be disabled
on certain webPages.
My wife says that sighted users find the tiny X in the upper right
corner of the page and left mouse click it.
With Wineyes's numberPad navigation it was easy to shoot to the upper
right corner with a shortcut, but I don't seem to know how to get there
with NVDA.
I get upper left and lower right easily, but there must be a way to
shoot immediately to the upper right corner of a page.
I now use backspace to go back, as a Jaws user suggested, which
sometimes works when alt+left arrow doesn't, but not always.
The wild wooly web gets wilder and wool ier all the time.
Thanks,
Indi
