[RWP] automation

I'm too used to linear midi editing where things stay as you left them.
If one has to ride a fader all the way to the end of each pass, that takes a
lot of time, there should be a way to not have to do that.
But it is what it is.
I see why people like item based editing with reaper right now till we get
automation understood and in control for our needs.
