[RWP] automation

Alt+up/down arrow is just not a very practical shortcut to use.
I'll look for a way to increase the increments, but I'd rather use any
of several mice around here that are still in their original plastic
wrappers, or, even better, a control surface knob.
You said it was painful to browse through the action list; with only
4000 native actions?
I can't imagine why?
At the top of the display, after pressing F4; there's a search box.
Type in Track volume and press enter.
Tab down to the list below the catagories, and you hopefully will get
the Track Set volume of Track 1 through track Set Volume of Track 99
These can only be assigned to a midi CC message, so when you click on
the add shortcut field; wiggle the fader on your keyboard, or try one
of the faders on the Peavey.
If it works, you can change a track's volume as fast as you like.
Back at the selected track, just set Automation mode to write, hit enter
and have fun tweaking volume rapidly with your control surface.
Why do anything a harder way?
Believe me, in my youth I tried horses, and I loved wearing boots and
saying gitty up; but they're a pain in the butt.
It's a romantic ecological idea; but they bite; they kick; and they're
much labor to groom and feed.
An automobile is way superior for getting around.
Actually; horse farts add as much carbon dioxide to the atmosphere as
a car's exhaust, and in the early day of autos; about as many people
were killed by horse kicks as died in autos.
My wife was kicked in the head by our 3 year old mare in heat; when we
unexpectedly ran across a couple of stallians; who decided to battle for
the mare's hand in horse marriage.
It was like a scene from a John Wayne western; whinneying; biting and
kicking going on everywhere.
