[RWP] latency in reaper

I have a couple of UCA-222's, same thing as the 202 with a pointless
optical output. It's pointless since it's actually a digital output that
comes after the signal has already been converted to analog. Who came up
with that idea?
It's relatively clean for a box with only RCA I/O, but I've never tried
using it with Asio. I've read several reports of people having their
UCA-202's or 222's just suddenly stop working, although I have one that
is continuously in use since about three years ago, streaming audio from
a pair of microphones outside my house 24/7, and it seems to be doing OK
for that. However, RCA, ground loops and USB don't mix together well.
Same for 3.5mm inputs and outputs, so be careful about that.
The counter-measures to make such things viable are more expensive than
finding a decent interface in many cases.

One of my mates uses it for 5 years with very cheap notebook and is pleased with this device. And it's very cool that UCA202 operates with 24-bit audio. It sounds fine and you can mix some multitrack projects with it.
