Hi & Greetings from the Drizzly Sunshine Coast..(a contradiction in terms,
one thinx)
I do not know if this needs to be said, but the way I select an item is just
with Shift plus A!
I prefer to use the least amount of keys for any key command
Take care all

I don't have an actual project going in the Reaper 64 I keep on this
computer for reference, but I just inserted a track, recorded an item,
then selected the item with ctrl+shift+right arrow; then pressed ctrl+x
and it said cut item; and it definitely cut the item.
I repeated the process again; recorded an item; selected the item with
ctrl+shift++right arrow; then pressed ctrl+C and heard copy item; and it
definitely copied the item to clipboard; because I then pasted the item
again and again onto the track.
the cut/copy process seems not broken in the latest Reaper version; I
think 4.4402.
Working as expected.
