[RWP] "selected area of items" no longer works any one know what could be wrong?

hey all previously when i carried out the process of copying or cutting audio and midi reaper used to say "cut or copy selected area of items" now even when i carrie out the process correctly it just says  some thing about "copy  or cut porshens of items in time selection"  i don't remember the egxat thing it says and this is depending on if i use the cut or copy commands. does any one know what's wrong? 

your help with this question would be most welcome!! kind regards trahern.
