Trust me, if I had the programming know-how, I most definitely would. And, I would more than likely charge very minimally for my services. But if we can get someone that knows what they're doing on the project, I am willing to donate to the cause.

>>> The Akai MPC-like VST plug is Poise, $49, not ready yet; needs its graphics labeled, but it looks as if it will be accessible, once that's done.
>>> You can download a demo at:
>>> http://onesmallclue.com/poise.php
>>> You can't get too far with it without clicking on its unlabeled screen graphics, which display the menus and dialogs; but if you can find its unlabeled screen graphics and label them with text, hooray, it's one less thing for me to do.
>>> It has 16 virtual pads, 8 layers each pad; which show up at the arrow keys.
>>> Samples or loops are drag and dropped onto the pads to load them, but the plug supports copy/paste, and I'm going to test that to load the pads;instead of drag/drop, once I get a few moments to spare.
>>> Its midi learn is easy enough to get to, so I could assign its 16 virtual pads to the real rubber pads on my old M-Audio Trigger Finger.
>>> I've yet to learn how to label graphics with Auto Hot Key, intending to learn AHK for years now.
>>> Hey, I'm not sure Poise or anything else is as immediately accessible as is the Sonar 8.5.3 Matrix View.
>>> With no tutorial at all, no Jaws scripts, the Matrix cells are so obvious as to what to do; with all text labeling; that I easily loaded my midi keyboard with dozens of loops, samples, rexFiles, whatever, but my former old slow computercaused Sonar to crash each time I got ready to actually play those samples.
>>> Matrix view is way more flexible than an Akai MPC, even the thousand dollar 24 bit model 4000A.
>>> Matrix View doesn't care what the original BPM was; if it's 16 or 24 bit; whether its .wav; mp3; .aif. whatever format;; as long as it's an acidized loop or RexFile you're loading; you can load audio or midi loops; you can set them to play looping continuously or 1 shot; you can select among a bunch of ways the next loop you trigger will interrupt the one that's currently playing.
>>> You can select a file to begin playing immediately when you press a key, or to begin on whatever next increment you choose, sixteenth, eighth, quarter, whatever.
>>> It's drum machine style quantizing on the fly.
>>> If you load a bunch of loops into the cells in a column, you can trigger them all with 1 key if you want.
>>> Like that could be your rhythm, drums and backing chords, all triggered from 1 midi keyboard key.
>>> You could then play your melody from other keys.
>>> You could put intro, chorus; refrain; outro; onto different columns; each with its single key to trigger it to play.
>>> Poise is interesting, because it's a small plug I can run in Reaper, but Matrix View could be way more powerful; already 100 percent accessible; if your computer has enough power to run Sonar 8.5.3 with a bunch of audio, midi, or rexFiles going.
>>> It was just too much load for my old single core Celeron; but I'm gonna try it again on the I7 machine.
>>> I don't know much about running Sonar; but I shouldn't need to.
>>> ; In Matrix View you just press the Capture Matrix button to record the output of the loops you trigger.
>>> I should be able to export that recorded track to Reaper to edit; once I figure out how.
>>> Reaper can link to an external editor, like Sound Forge, so maybe I can call Sonar an external editor in Reaper; to swap not yet rendered digital tracks from Matrix View back to Reaper; I don't know yet.
