Nadine, thanks for that pointer.
Works as advertised.
Now that I think I understand the midi messages actually being sent by my
miserable old controller, I can tell you that reaper doesn't understand the
message stream. The volume goes radically up and down and up and down as
you continue to move the control.
Reaper doesn't know about N R P N's.
At least, not in mackie mode.
So, it's off to try the others, unless anybody knows which of the reper
offerings is the most ancient, and most likely to be talking N R P N
language.
