Good morning guys.
I've really got going in reaper and doing some serious recording this
week, but now I've run in to a few snags that I'm hoping someone can
help.
First, what is the best method for comping in reaper. Should I do
multiple takes on the same track, or is it better to do a new track
each time I want to re record a vocal or instrument track? How are
folks moving information between tracks. If I select a passage from
one track, do I then need to go up to the other track and find that
exact spot on the track to paste in the passage I wish to replace?
Second, how can I setup a click track specificaaly the beats I see how
to turn on the metronome but I don't see how to adjust it to say 142
BPM.
Lastly, is there a way to loop record something for punch in at a
later time. Let's say I want to play a lead riff 10 or 12 times over
about 4 measures but I want a lots to pick from rather than re
recording on a bunch of separate takes, can reaper loop record like
Pro tools, and then give me those takes to listen to later to decide
which was best or Comp them ETC?
Thanks for any help you can give!
