[RWP] using VST soft synths with reaper

hi
how in reaper would I use a soft synth such as hypersonic 
I know  how to load the instrument  on a track, but I would like to be able to change the midi patch with out using midi yoke and quick windows sequencer, and only reaper
and also would like to know how to change the midi channel the track records on sense I can record more than one part with the same VST instrument
