[RWP] Is This a SureFire Method of Opening Track Record Inputs Menu?

I don't currently know that themes make any difference, since I loaded 
the default 4.0 theme, and the applications key still immediately brings 
up the monitor input menu, and I still don't hear the Handle Not Found 
message.
This is in this Reaper 64, on this Windows 7 64 bit computer.
I brought up a new project, same thing.
I installed an earlier version of Reaper 64, same thing.
Meanwhile, on my XP machine, Reaper 4.32 lost that fix of the 
applications key, and now says Handle Not Found, and loading different 
themes has no effect.
I tried a bunch of different settings that day when the applications key 
returned to working, so it might be some other setting that I haven't 
discovered yet.
I'm wondering if I took the Reaper.ini file from the 64 bit reaper to 
the 32 bit Reaper, same version, if it will just cause the 32 bit 
version to crash?I guess it can't hurt to try.
I can always uninstall the 32 bit version and set it up again, if it 
gets corrupted by pasting in the 64 bit version's reaper.ini file.
That would definitely not be a scientific experiment, though, even if it 
works, since I still won't know which change restored the use of the 
applications key.
Looking at the Reaper.ini file, I noticed 3 or 4 actions in the list; 
don't know whether those are part of ReaAccess, or something I did while 
experimenting.
Sorry, too many uncontrolled variables to know what did what, but the 
fixed applications key won't go away in my Reaper 64.
