Hi Gianluca,
I just tried it again on this Windows 7 64 machine with NVDA, and I
can't get my simple method not to work.
However, I left out something I did that I thought had no effect, so
didn't mention it, that is, I went to ctrl+P options/preferences,
arrowed to theme; tab downand loaded the classic 3x theme.
I thought all it did was change the colors and did not notice any
difference, but I maybe was wrong, that the Reaper version 3x theme is
important.
Can't hurt, unless you are using default 4x colors to identify things
with your screenreader.
I put a checkmark on Allow Themes to Override.
I went to select theme and clicked enter on it; I selected classic 3x in
the combo box; I clicked on Load Theme; then Save Theme, maybe not
necessary steps, but I had no instructions how to change themes; then
clicked on Apply and OK.
Maybe try changing to classic 3x theme, and then the method might work?
If you are using default 4x theme colors for Jaws to find things, you
should be able to return to default 4x theme, if it doesn't help make my
method work.
