[RWP] Issues with adding effects and selection

Select an item on the track by first selecting the track, then pressing
control left=right (if you want to only move a single item) or
control+shift+left/right to select from your cursor to as many items on
the track as you need. Check your ripple editing mode with "p," use
alt+p to change to the mode that best works for what you're doing.
You can't use item specific editing commands if you have only selected a
track without having selected at least one item on one track.

As for editing effects, which plugins are you using? If you don't switch
to the "generic" mode, (can't remember how to do that at the moment,)
the main effects window, even with some of the plugins that come with
Reaper, can look a bit strange. Try also using the ReaAccess specific
shift+p to get to an effect's exposed automatable parameters and change
values there to see what happens. You don't often get real-world values,
but I've found this to be the fastest way to get to things in many
cases, especially with plugins that have inaccessible UI's.
