[RWP] Some questions

Hi:
Once you have loaded the instrument and then loaded an FXP program from the
vst properties on the synth and saved the file, it will load any time you
reload it. You might want to save setups you use often as track templates
which would be a lot easier to deal with.

Some more question about this...
The presets are they independent from the instrument? - Heavy to explain
what I mean, so I'll try it out:
If I load a virtual plugin I have a list with the plugins which are
installed. The preset files seems to be configuration data for the plugins.
So are they especially to load after the plugin maybe in the corresponding
track or does they load the instrument by themselves?
I meain do I have to load the instrument and the plugin afterwards or do I
only have to load the plugin? Or, if I load the instrument is there a place
where I have to load the plugins?
My current problem is more in the MPC as in Reaper. If I load there an
instrument like KORG M1 ore MS-20, I have by pressing the Window-Button a
list with corresponding presets from which I can select one like in the
window if I use it standalone or as VST plugin Doing the same with Addictive
Drums and Keys, only shows me the Startup preset in this preset list but
nothing more. Instaid of this, in the window of the application I can switch
between the presets.
What I wanted to do is selecting a drum kit inside MPC. In Reaper I was
searching for an accessible alternative to swith between them.
By the way, I wrote with the XLN Support and they told me that they are in
general thinking about making the plugins accessible. But with a less
priority. So maybe, if you are using Addictive products, it might be helpful
to contact the support about that so there is a bigger community of users so
that this low priority can go up. ;-)

Whatever program you use has to support vst. If it does then it should
work.

Thanks, Gordon!
So that means that this file is a generic file format, so there might be a
chance to load this in other programs, like my MPC Renaissance? Sorry, VST
is a new world and I'm since a few weeks in using it.

Hi:
Loading the preset files you got ".fxp" has to be done from the plug-in's
interface itself. You should see "vst options" at the top of the screen and
clicking that will drop a menu where "load preset" is one of the choies.
There you get a normal file browser. I use that all the time with addictive
drums, though I haven't tried it with reaper, only Sonar.

Subject: [RWP] Some questions
Hi all,
don't wonder, I use another mail address... ;)
I played around with Reapder and have some questions. Before this, please
who is the one configured the Mailman on this server? By myself I'm using
Majordomo and thought about switching to Mailman, but found no especially
information which preparation is needed for this. Maybe you can write me via
PM to Stephan at merkst.de.
Now to Reaper:
1. Metronome. I found to activate it but if I close Reaper and re-open it,
the metronome is off. Is there a feature where I can switch it on for
recordings?
2. Preset files for VST. I purchased Addictive Drums and Keys and from the
friendly support I got the preset files for kits and sets. But I don't know
where I have to copy them or how to load them. Does anybody know how I can
do this?
3. Where is the quantize-feature? Is here also a chance to set it to 1/16 in
general?
4. And the last question, the transport field: Play/Pause Rec I know, but
how I can e. g. jump to start or fast forward and backward?
Thanks for your answers.
Cheers
Stephan
