Brian,
this is helpful as well, because I forgot the fact about the scripts which
are available. ;-) That means in general that some guys made thoughts about
making it accessible. This I think does the ReaAccess project as well, but
AFAIK the scripts for Sonar are not for free, so they have a commercial
touch or in other words, the functionality is more expected.
As I have seen and my hope is, that I can use Reaper as a MIDI sequencer for
my new VST instruments. If this works as I expect, it is enough for me. Id
never played around with audio mixing and syncing audio tracks with MIDI and
so on. I like the workflow of my MPC, thats it like I know from the 80ies.
;)
Viele Grüße

Hi,
That is hard to say, because I rely on sonar to make my living in my
studio, it is the daw that I know best by far, and I also use the
CakeTalking scripts, so I don't have the most balanced opinion on the
matter.
Others have opinions on which is better and why, but really I am just used
to sonar and the plug-ins that come with it, and I don't have time to fully
investigate reaper and I don't have the time to find out if I can do all the
same things as quickly with reaper.
Sorry, that's not very helpful but I don't want to go telling someone sonar
is better or worse when I don't know reaper fully,
I do think sonar might have better synths that come with the producer
version, but access to those depends on using CakeTalking, jSonar scripts or
some other HSC sets.
HTH
Brian.

Hi Brian,
what do you think is on Sonar better? I read sometimes that blind people
using Sonar but I didnt tried it out, too expensive for my needs. ;)
However, Sonar is Cakewaalk and they purchased the Voyetra Sequencing
products which I was using 20 years ago
;)

I've posted these tracks on the midi mag list before, but heres my sound
cloud with some original material I finished recently,, 95% of the
instrumentation etc is me, and I did all the mixing also. Its all done in
sonar though because I'm still afraid of reaper!

Hey, let's each one of us who can, contribute a link to a recording of a
song that we actually wrote ourselves, and primarily, and hopefully
entirely, performed. One track per person. Pick a track that really says
you, and throw it in the pot. Let's find out who we are musically.
