I think the best sounding tenor I've ever heard was a "Conn Naked Lady",...It was a special edition, as I understand it,...anyway,...I heard a guy playing one in Abilene, Texas,...Man!,...What a awesome, Fat, dark tone!,...When I asked the guy about it,...he said he bought it for $150 at a garage sale...
