[RWP] Extra Track

Hi & Greetings from a very wet and wintery Down Under

Here would be the way I would approach this situation...

Mute the Track that has the micro cassette audio on it.
Record your Intro on another Track
Find out how long your intro is by 1 Selecting the Item, 2 Pressing Shift plus F2 (which brings up the Item Properties Dialog), 3 TAB until you hear the length, , (TAB once extra past this parameter and you can decide whether you wish to work in Time (Hours Minutes Seconds) or Beats).
Whichever way you decide, close that Items Properties...
Unmute your MicroCassette track select the Item on that Track
Press Shift plus F2 to bring up the Items Properties Dialog
Tab to the Position Parameter and input the Position you wish the MicroCassette to start.
OK this Dialog...

I use this method a lot of the time as it allows me to precisely place the particular item...

Hopefully when you play the Project, all should flow smoothly...

Kind regards

Yes, you can nudge, or cut and paste to later in the time line.

Hello. I am Ricky London, and I have been using Reaper for about two months now. I have an idea, but I can't get it to work yet, so now is the time to ask someone who knows what to do.
I am recording micro cassettes for a friend so that he can have digital versions of them. I thought it would be a nice touch if I could put a little introduction at the beginning of each one to give him some information about what he is about to hear. If I make a separate track with my introduction, it plays at the same time as the start of the tape. Is there a way I could keep the track with the tape from beginning until after my introduction?
