[RWP] plugging an electric guitar and adding effects on reaper?

Hello,

There's a host of decent free amp sims and impulse responses which can
make your guitar sound more like a real guitar amp that's miced up,
and the JS chorus/flanger effects already builtin to reaper could help
you there.

What sort of music are you recording? I'm asking because I'm mostly a
rock/metal player, and while the plugs I could mention are useful to
me, they might not be as helpful to you.

one great tube amp emulator I'd recommend regardless of style is the
Voxengo tube amp (free), found on this page:
http://www.voxengo.com/group/free-vst-plugins/
There's also a few other goodies I'd grab there.
The parameters for tube amp can be accessed via reaAccess's shift-p dialog.

You'll still need to get a speaker emulator for it to not sound so
digital, and there's a scary amount of options to do this.

Have fun, and feel free to post back any questions.

Alex
