Some folks are running the Logitech G13 gamePad, which has the usual
d-pad; joysticks; plus 25 assignable buttons.
I have no idea if its PC software to assign buttons is accessible or
not, but you can store five or six setups within the Logitech G13
itself, and call them up with a key.
It's about $65.
Not all these gaming pads and boards are equally well made, there are
many complaints in the Amazon user reviews about buttons and joysticks
breaking the first day.
I love the $12 GigaWare gamePad I got at Radio Shack, a very sturdy
little thing,but a huge number of game players hated it because it has
absolutely no assignment within itself; which makes it perfect for use
with Reaper's OSC joystick and button assigning system.
Logitech made the dual mode model, a classic 12 button gamePad, that was
so well made some users actually grew to adulthood and tired of gameing;
yet the $13 Logitech dual model was still working as good as new.
Unfortunately they aren't available any more, and have the classic game
port plug our computers no longer have.
