[RWP] Can it be; Things Seem to Run more Reliably on NVDA?

I think, FF has broken something for us which is stopping NVDA to beep.
In IE 8, we can get some short of feedback from our screen reader about
how much the page has loaded. but in IE 9 and IE 10, we cannot hear
anything, even if you check the status bar. someday ago, my friend
recommended me to install "Classic Shell IE" and now I am getting the
progress announcement in percentage on my IE 10.
