Usb2 really wasn't good for audio, because it only went one way and they 
have to poll devices.

So it's something they got by with but you never saw many usb devices with 
high input or out-put counts.

Firewire is decent but not as good as pci or pci express.

I guess that m-audio stuff was sold off after the last driver revission
because if you read about the driver it mentions avid.

So who owns that stuff now?
