I briefly played with a 24/96 under Windows 7, and had some weird issues
with it that just weren't there on Windows XP. Considering how old that
hardware is, the fact that it's still supported at all in any way on
Windows 7, especially 64, is pretty awesome, so there's that.
By the way, Intel's current generation CPUs, which just came out last
week, no longer has a profile for legacy PCI, so now PCI slots are
officially dead. You won't be seeing them at all on new boards.
