Hi Kevin and all,
OK, first, the installation is fine, and I am using JAWS.  I have Windows 8.
It did say "ReaAccess" when I started the program.  I'm trying to choose an
audio device.  I also am confused by the vast array of options of which I
know nothing.  I chose Direct Sound, and I have a microphone plugged into
the audio input jack on my laptop.  I inserted a test track and armed it for
recording.  Then I pressed R to start recording.  I talked and cut up a bit
just to see if I could get a sound, but there was nothing.  So, what's next?

When you opened your program, did you hear, "reaaccess",...Is your 
installation working correctly?...

Some more information on your end would help those who will answer your 
questions...
