Makes me want one; what a neat name; Whiz Wheel!
I think I will spring for a more complex gamePad, some of which have jog
wheels.
I don't mind just using a pair of inc/dec buttons, though, instead of
wheels, to set pan and volume, if I get their midi number set properly
in the generic.txt file that defines what each button and joyPad transmits.
Right now no gamePad buttons increment or decrement continuously when
you stand on them, and all buttons just transmit midi note numbers
instead of control data.
You know, the joystick/gamePad and control surface transmits go through
OSC on their way to midi format.
I learned only a little about OSC, but if I understand it; it's a kind
of translation scheme in text to turn almost anything sent from any
controller into useable midi messages.
OSC is on by default, both when assigning actions and when using midi
learn to control plugs under Param in the FX view.
With OSC to help, Jim, I think there's hope for the Peavey controller to
become useful.
