If you use the reaper plugin,..."rea-control-midi",...you can load the 
".ins" files for most keyboards, and midi controllers into reaper,...as 
well as vst's, and get a pretty accessible way of controlling sound 
modules ,vst's, and drum machines...

Just call up the "rea-control-midi" in the effects insert,...you have 
to experiment with it, but I think it is an efficient plugin,...There 
are also some tutorials in the reaper forum about it...
