[RWP] WDM Kernel Streaming in Reaper?

Hey, there is WDM Kernel Streaming in Reaper's drivers; but when I try
it, it immediately throws an error, apparently from my Creative eMu
1616M soundcard, which shows up in Reaper's list of audio devices; when
WDM/KS is chosen, but won't run on that driver.
I get no midi or audio when WDM is selected.
Under WDM; my USB Helicon vocal pedal also doesn't show up in audio
devices under its own name, but only as USB Audio Device.

I think there's no use to waste my time trying the same thing in Sonar
8.5.3; running the same eMu soundcard; until I google how to get round
problems running Creative soundcards on WDM/KS; which; I'll bet the
SoundBlaster guys solved years ago.
Before knocking Creative, or SoundBlasters, know that I never had any
problem from them, once I learned that the order of installation of
drivers was critical; and that all previous Creative drivers need to be
uninstalled before installing a later Creative soundcard.
If there is no workAround, and asio4all doesn't help, I maybe could find
a simple soundcard of another brand; to run my ribbon microphone into;
while also running the Helicon vocal pedal.
Does anyone have an old RME card lying around, with at least 1 XLR
preAmp input; and a physical phantom power switch?
I'm not sure I can bear audio less clear than eMu; or RME; but maybe
someone now makes a 1 mike in interface that is transparently clear,
that will run on WDM/KS; 24 bits 48K.
Any suggestions, anyone?
Thanks,
Indigo L
