I heard you ask your question on home recording show.
99.5 percent of the people in the world would just plug in the pedal analog
to their interface and that's how you're really supposed to run it.
The usb is handy for firmware upgrading and such, but really, that's how
she's supposed to be done.
Just hook it up and use it and don't worry about the extra conversion and
such, don't you know every pedal in the world that does anything digital has
d to a going on, and nobody cares.
Part of the charm of core audio is easier aggregate devices, but every
os/system has it's own advantages/disadvantages.
I'd imagine tech support didn't answer you partly because there is already a
easy no nonsense way to use the pedal with the lowest possible latency, and
most
folks would prefer that to any usb hook-up which is the highest latency even
under ideal conditions.
Plug it in and write that hit song 'grin'.
