[RWP] Editing

Hi Jim,
I haven't tested selecting items across several tracks.
When selecting an item with ctrl+shift+either right or left arrow on a
single selected track; actually works, it is both moving along the
timeline and selecting; so the announcement in Wineyes says Item 1
selected, item 2 selected, etcetera; each time I do the shortcut; as the
cursor moves along the timeline.
If I want to assure myself that I have deleted all items, I press
ctrl+shift+left arrow, and I hear No Items Found.
I've also noticed that shift+A has select all items at once, on a single
selected track; so I have deleted all items on a track, when I didn't
intend to.
I'll try to reinstall version 3.78 today, and check out whether
selecting an item, then pressing E for editor, then enter to open the
editor, causes ctrl+shift+arrows to quit working; when I return to track
view; as it does in 4X versions.
It's especially annoying to have alt sometimes drop the menus, and
sometimes need to press F10 to drop the menus, and I haven't yet learned
what causes Alt key to stop working.

I knew about selecting with shift+A, which is shown in ReaAccess F12
learning mode, but I seem to remember that ctrl+shift+arrows was working
until somewhere in the 4X versions, maybe around 4.22, when many
ReaAccess features hit the fan.
With version 4.32; I need to press Roy Stupler's workaround: ctrl+up
arrow several times before I finally get the extended track recording
options menu to display with the applications key.
Did you know that is the same menu; which begins with Monitor Item;
that sighted users get by right clicking with the mouse; on the track's
arm button?

If I knew a hot spot system, it might be much more reliable to locate
that bit map arm button icon; then create a shortcut to right click it.

Since Wineyes doesn't work at all in Reaper 64, I keep the latest Reaper
on this online Windows 7 machine, and look at it with NVDA, in hopes of
answering simple questions from beginners.
That NVDA and Reaper 64 reality and how I actually work in XP are
becoming farther and farther apart tthough.
I'm at the point of deciding whether I need to know about new features I
can't use, as you say, or should I get on with trying to make music, and
let the Reaper world go on its merry way without me.
David Shortland, in currently soggy Queensland, is getting along nicely
in Reaper and System Access, with Omnisphere.
Now, there is a neat little corner of things, everything in 1
screenreader, 1 daw, 1 synth.
