[RWP] Editing

Jim, I'was using ctrl+shift+right arrow to select a track's item; when
it worked. Now I'm using shift+A to select an item; but in Reaper 4.32,
once I press E to open the selected item in the midi editor, and then
return to track view; I can select the item with shift+A; but I can't
delete that selected item with the delete key any more.
I need to select the item with shift+A; then go to the item menu and
click on Remove Item.
Those maddening inconsistencies; plus the fact that sometimes I can open
the menus with alt, and sometimes I can't, so need to press F10 to open
the menus, has made me believe Patrick Perdue, that too many ReaAccess
things are getting broken as version 4X proceeds.
There seem to be several ways to do each thing in Reaper, thank God, but
I need to run through each method to learn which one works in which
situation.
I think I'll revert to Reaper version 3.78, where most things worked
consistently, in 32 bit XP
I don't believe I really need the improvements and additional features
in 4X, what I really need most is to work without frustration, and I
could; in version 3.78.
Someday, when someone updates or replaces ReaAccess, I'll get up to date
with versions.
Either that, or I'll somehow learn to do as well in 64 bit Reaper, with
NVDA,which seems very stable; as I do now in XP with Wineyes.
I would terribly miss Wineyes' mouse pointer; alias Jaws PC cursor; though.
I use NVDA almost all the time now, and understand its object navigation
at the numPad, but it just cannot see what's on a VST plug's interface
as well as Wineyes does.
I intend to buy the NVDA V-Mouse add on,with its 50 hot spots; and give
that a try on VST interfaces.
