Matt, select the item on the selected track, place your cursor just at
the end of the part you don't want to keep, then press the letter S.
The track's item should now be split at the cursor into 2 items, 1 from
beginning to cursor, 2 from cursor to end of track.
Delete item 1 and you should only hear item 2, with the material you
want to keep.
I believe item 2 will begin at 0 on the track, in line with your other
tracks.
Please chime in; anyone who knows a better method.
