Hi & Greetings from a VERY VERY Wet Queensland

This is the way I would do this Matt...

Scroll up and down the Track List to Select the Track
With your Left & Right Cursor Keys progress thru the time line until you
reach the place in the Track where you wish to keep from...
Press Shift plus A to Select the Item on that Track...
Press S to Split that Item you have just Selected into 2 Items
With the Left Cursor Key scroll slightly backwards over the newly created
Item
Press Shift plus A to Select that Item
Press Delete

Hang in there... REAPER is SO SO good ... IMHO

Yours sincerely

Ok,
So this will be a very basic question but one that has me stumped.
When working with multiple tracks in reaper, I wish to cut off some
noise at the beginning of a file. In this case, I started recording to
early and there is an axcidental bass note or two. In any event in
audacity to do this I would highlight the track, find the end of where
I wish to cut and mark it with a [ then press shift home and under
edit, insert a silence. The point here is I want to silence this audio
but leave the track time wise where it is so that it is synchronized
with my project.
Could any one here give me a hand understanding the easiest way to
accomplish this without doing in audacity and importing them all back
in to reaper?
Thanks.
