[RWP] a few audio edit questions if possible

When I have first selected the track, then selected the item on that 
track with ctrl+right arrow, then moved to where I want a split and 
pressed S, only that item was split.

As to metronome, press F12 for shortcut learn mode, and you'll find 
ctrl+shift+m toggles metronome off and on.
As for speeding up item, I'm going to need to look if left and right 
brackets, or something similar, raises BPM, as it does in many daws.
In shortcut learning mode, explore the shortcuts from shift+3 to 
shift+6, which raise an items rate without changing pitch.
Not sure what you want to do, though.
