[RWP] Hi all and some questions.

I'll side with Steve here.
There is some merit to having hardware because of the front end, and op amps of those old synths which was part of the sound, but when you factor in the noise, and maintanance,
there are lots of ways we can get coloration and harmonics, and when you can just grab an instance of a vst and use it anyway you like with a consistance interface and all the tools we have for access now, hsc, ahk,
reaper and sonar's parameter lists of showing automated parms, then it's no contest.
Tre, when you get more advanced and further along in your musical journey, you'll see what we mean.
If you have one synth you just like and are happy to get around on it because you know the buttons, that's one thing.
But imagine having 10 or 20 of them, all with different interfaces, all having to be patched in to your daw,
you'd need a 32 channel board, and imagine having to keep up with all those old formats, floppy disks, scsi maybe even,
saving vst presets is so easy with fxp and fxb,
ok, it's not the purist route, but for 99.9 percent of the working studio world, it gets the job done.

The vast majority of hardware doesn't even come close to current VST plugs
and libraries, most only use them for gigging nowadays, so I totally
disagree with that. As for saying it would be easier, how is it easier?...
Cheers Steve.

to be onist with you man ide go the hardware root when it comes to synths
and drum machines because they'll be easier to use and in my personal view
sound a hell of a lot better than any vst. my ten sents kind regards
trahern.
