I thought about doing that, but how would I save it in a .mid file so that I can interact with it in reaper. And also, do my mixing in there. Sent from my iPhone

TO answer the question asked here initially, Garage band has awesome sounding instruments, and the new ones in GB X rivals paid VST synths. Why not record in GB and then switch to a more powerful DAW for mixing and etc. Can you give us a better idea of how garage band is falling short for you?
