may be easier to use in terms of knobs and buttons you have direct access to. But interns of sounds, VST’s can iterate much faster than hardware versions. TO answer the question asked here initially, Garage band has awesome sounding instruments, and the new ones in GB X rivals paid VST synths. Why not record in GB and then switch to a more powerful DAW for mixing and etc. Can you give us a better idea of how garage band is falling short for you?
