[RWP] Copying dat files with dll files when i put vst's in my vst folder?

hey all i have a question its this when i went to copy some DLLs vst files to my vst folder i saw some dat files along with them was i meant to copy the dat files to my vst folder to? and if i was please could some one explain to me how to sort out the mess?
