[RWP] time selection short cuts

Hi,

I checked the archives, but couldN't find anything. That's why I would be interested, if there is a possibility in reaper to make exact time selections? Imagine: In a song consisting of for example 32 bars, I would like to select 4 bars. In pro Tools for instance pressing numpad /// would bring up an edit box to enter 4 followed by the return-key. This would definitely select for bars. Is there a similar way in reaper?
 my question in the reaper-forum 
didn't lead to an effective work-around yet.
