[RWP] Help with Sinth VSTs

That is very odd. "Default" is, well, the default--in other words it's a
shortcut that points to whatever you've set as your default device. If there
are no devices, that's meaningless. You must have some sound device
otherwise you would not be able to hear JAWS, but for it to not show up is
quite strange.
