[RWP] Running 32 bit plugs in Win7 64 with Reaper 64?

I guess I'm lucky with this cheap Acer Win7 desktop; that I somehow
configured the RealTech HD Audio Manager not to put up a notice every
time I plug something in or unplug something.
I don't even remember where I made the settings so it ignores plugging
and unplugging.
I imagine though, that it too would not like a shorted jack; but it's
been such an uncomplaining computer it might not put up the fuss the I7
music computer did.
I'm only deducing from the evidence of a shorted out jack on the music
computer, and its audio cable that was snagged by something behind the
desk until it stretched so far that it broke.
I won't blame it on my daughter's cute little bulldog, I don't think
she'd go exploring behind my desk.

Apparently shorting the audio jack cause anything even remotely related
to RealTech to lose its settings.
Also, because of the existing short; the Xp's Realtech Audio Manager now
displays a plugged/unplugged alert that can't be satisfied every time I
boot, and I need to be super quick to shut down the RealTech process
with Windows Task Manager.
Such a nuisance, because I can't get to that shorted jack to repair it.
It's back behind a panel; on a circuit board; deep inside the plastic
front bezel.
I tried to unplug its cable from the motherboard, in a space that was
too small for my hands, and managed at the same time to also unplug the
plugs for the power button and reset button.
There are several rows of terminals just where the power button and
reset button might go, no way to tell which is the right one, so now I
need to find a schematic for the mother board; and take the computer
across the road to the tekkies at our local Harley's
Those guys are very skilled, and will get the power and reset plugs back
onto the correct terminals.
I don't even care about those flimsy front audio jacks anyway,
unplugging them would be a fix.
I can use the rear audio jack for speech.
Just in case I can't have the music computer fixed soon, can you guys
please tell me the name of the Sapphire Pro soundcard that I hear,
that's very clear with pro-quality?
I've been impressed by recordings I've heard made with it.
I should set up this AMD Acer as a backup music computer.
By the way, it has a couple of USB 3 jacks, if anyone ever made good
quality USB 3 soundcards.
Thanks,
Indi
