Well, if your Korg controller needs its own USB driver, that's the first
thing to install.
Then, you need to get the controller enabled in Reaper, and in the
configuration dialog, you set the controller to transmit midi messages.
So, here's how, mostly:
1. install the Korg's USB driver, if it needs one.
2. plug it into a powered USB port on your computer.
3. Bring up Reaper, and press ctrl+P to go to options/preferences.
4. navigate to midi device.
5. tab down to the place where your Korg controller is named.
6. Get the word enabled to appear after its name.
Here's how:
1. get focus on the Korg's name or thereabouts, then route focus over to
your number pad cursor, by whatever method is required in your
particular screenreader.
2. At your number pad get focus on the Korg's name.
3. Right click at the number pad and the configuration dialog should appear.
4. click enter on the configuration dialog and it will open, so you can
place checkmarks on use to transmit midi messages.
5. when you finish configuring the controller, tab down to OK and press
enter.
This is how I configured several control surfaces that work flawlessly
in Reaper to control software plugs.
There's also a topic in options/preferences for control surfaces, where
you can get your control surface going; but I've used that less, so
someone else can cover that topic.
