[RWP] how to sink reaper to a hardware midi seequincer accessably?

hey all i asked on the reaper forum how to slave reaper to my hardware midi sequencer and got this response: 

"Right click on the BBM button or tempo and select "External Timecode Synchronisation" then "synchronisation settings" in menu. This will open a box giving you options. Select a suitable input (as per your set up), click "enable Synchronisation" and that should work" 

does any one know an accessible way of doing this?
