[RWP] Behringer BCR2000 question

Yes, Camel Audio's Alchemy has a definitely custom browser for its
presets, though I've been able to partly utilize its browser to find
some of its presets.
I have to accept its presets in 1 big batch, and can't get hold of its
catagories, which would be a blessing.
Alchemy is wonderful beyond belief, second only to Omnisphere, maybe
better in some respects; , but has a sluggish and iffy preset browser
which is improving with each new version.

AutoMap doesn't help a bit with preset browsers, because they aren't
parameters as such.
AutoMap assigns all the automateable parameters you would find in
Reaper's preset list by pressing shift+P in track view, and you won't
find anything to do with preset browser there, as far as I've experienced.
AutoMap's only failing is not always knowing that a parameter should
belong to a knob instead of a button, or vice versa; but it gets most
parameters assigned correctly.
After it has scanned the plug and made its assignments of parameters,
you can manually correct wrong assignments without rescanning.

So far, I've not been able to handle the step where you point AutoMap at
the list of plugs and tell it to scan and assign.
In NVDA, I once somehow found a way to read that inaccessible page, but
it was accidental after probing deeply into NVDA's object navigation,
and couldn't find my way back.
It actually requires only a few seconds of sighted help to map all of
the 67 plugs in my VST folder.
FM8, for example, gives you about 880 parameters, about 100 pages in
AutoMap.

I was able to set up AutoMap in Reaper's control surfaces, and, once I
quit trying wrong advice from old Reaper forums, and followed the
current much easier methods, I could configure AutoMap alone with NVDA.
If anyone else seriously buys and wants to set up AutoMap, I'll try to help.
I think it's worth way more than $99 to get hundreds of parameters at
knobs and buttons, and be able to read what they are, and their numeric
values.
I can't understand why I waited for years to try it, or why it isn't
used by everyone for more access.
As you know, though; tweaking parameters alone doesn't provide total
access, and it can't help with providing menus, edit fields, lists,
can't tell you what bit map images mean, or eliminate any of those other
barriers to access.
For only $99, it's a joy, and a real kick to immediately have all those
parameters at your fingertips.
I've had plenty of other control surfaces, but configuring them to a
plug or program was a real chore.
Automap took 60 seconds or so to configure 67 large and small plugs.
