[RWP] Behringer BCR2000 question

With the BCF2000 off, hold mode button 1 for 3 or 4 seconds as you
press the power switch to turn on power.
You get the original mode.
Now, whether that erases all changes made in other modes I don't know.
I think the original Behringer mode is interesting.
In that mode I was able to control several parameters of plugs like
Massive, FM8 and others that I had no control of.
However, the BCF2000 is nothing compared to the hundreds of plug
parameters you get with the Novation Nocturn AutoMap, only about $99.
The Nocturn and AutoMap is not a cinch to set up, requires some
sighted help to scan new plugs.
Instead of a couple of parameters controlled, I get 27 pages of
parameters in Alchemy, each page having 8 endless knobs and 8 buttons at
the little Nocturn hardware box.
NVDA reads a transparent screen overlay with info as to which page,
which plug and which parameters, with number settings for the parameter,
and the AutoMap doesn't disturb Reaper even the slightest bit.
You end up with twice as many plugs in your folders after scanning with
AutoMap, but each scanned plug has the word AutoMap in its name, so no
confusion; plus you can still insert the unscanned version of the plug
if you want.
AutoMap still doesn't give you total access, neither will the BCF2000.
I don't know what program will get rid of custom controls and replace
them with ones a screenreader can recognize, or make sense of totally
visual screen graphics; or provide standard Microsoft menus, edit
fields, lists, etcetera.
Having every parameter of a plug available at a knob or a button is
intoxicating, though, when we've been shut out for so long.
Of course, Sonar and Reaper expose a plug's parameters, if you want to
tediously type in numbers for each parameter, but nothing beats twisting
a knob and hearing instant results.
When I get back on my feet, I can maybe help someone with Nocturn and
Automap.
